Beard and Moustache competition highlights
On Saturday night, 12/4/10, the 3rd Annual Beard and Moustache Competition took place in Greenpoint, Brooklyn at club Europa.
Spectators and contestants alike came from far and wide to watch and be apart of the show. Categories included, best fake facial hair (as to not leave out the ladies) best moustache, best gotee, my personal favorite-best freestyle, best recession beard (kind of a shout to the new grower who may have embarked on his beard journey as a result of the current economy), and last but not least-best full beard,these are the dudes that have trully invested years to their chin hair growth….
Two dear friends, Myk O’Connor and Karolina Gwiazda were key players in making this event come together. Myk was the MC-giving Jimmy Fallon a run for his late night credentials, and Karolina was one of the judges. The night culminated with Myk’s engagement to Karolina! Fun, festivities and facial hair were enjoyed by all.

Bill Mitchell hand carves a new walking stick for every contest, and upon winning best in show presented it to Myk and Karolina as a present.
